CLOTHING
While at Camp Highroad, we want our campers to dress comfortably and to wear clothing appropriate to a Christian Camp. We request that no undergarments be visible and that shorts be of a sufficient length to reach mid-thigh. Our purpose is to dress to protect the skin and not to draw attention. We thank you for helping us observe this standard.
Serviceable clothing for living out-of-doors while at camp (remember clothes and shoes will get dirty!) should include the following:
Bathing suit (For girls, one piece bathing suits are preferred, but modest two
piece suits are acceptable, no small bikinis)
Long pants
Long-sleeved shirt and/or sweatshirt
Tee shirts
Shorts
A change of socks for each day
A change of underwear for each day
Either a light jacket or sweater (Several layers are better than a heavy jacket)
Rain gear
Casual shoes or sneakers (no flip flops)
Shoes for Creek Hike (Old sneakers or water shoes for walking IN the water,
no flip flops)
Regular hiking boots if possible or extra sneakers in case others get wet
Plastic bag to bring home wet bathing suits or clothes
Additional items for Wranglers campers:
Additional long pants (Wrangler campers will have to wear long pants whenever
on the horses, even in hot weather to protect their legs from scrapes. They
may have shorts with them to change into when not riding.)
Sturdy boots with heels to wear while riding (no lug soled hiking boots)

DO NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO CAMP:
Firearms, MP3 players, IPODS, cell phones, radios, tape and CD players, computer games, hair dryers, sheath knives, comic books, chewing gum, candy, cigarettes, matches, mosquito coil, cosmetics, food, laser pointers, BB or water guns. If brought, these items will be confiscated and available for the parent to pick up at closing. Any other items deemed inappropriate by staff will be confiscated and returned to parents. Campers or visiting parents are asked not to bring their pets or other animals to camp, including during registration and pick up.
