Facilities
Our facilities can accommodate a wide variety of different lodging preferences. Whether you're hoping to sleep on the ground in the woods or have a conference in a retreat center, Highroad has the space or facility to meet your needs! Many groups stay in our facilities as part of school group packages or as part of our summer and winter camps. However, if there is not a package available for your group, contact the Registrar at registrar@camphighroad.org to create your own adventure at Highroad!
Cabins: Our sixteen rustic, wooden cabins will sleep 144 campers and chaperones. A cot and mattress are provided for each person. Cabins are fitted with windows, shutters and screens for an old-timey thermostat: Open the windows and you have air conditioning, close them and you have heat! Outhouses, washstands and a bathhouse with flushing toilets and showers, are located nearby. The cabins make a wonderful stop for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, American Heritage Girls, and any other groups who enjoy rustic excursions into nature.

Pine Lodge: Pine sleeps boys and girls in two separate large rooms on either side of the lodge. The large rooms contain mattresses, and campers love the feeling of "camping" with their mattresses on the ground. Pine also contains two small rooms for chaperones, one on either side of the lodge. Each chaperone room contains two beds. The lodge has a large central meeting room with a fireplace and an adjacent kitchen. Pine makes a wonderful lodge for retreats, confirmation classes or anyone looking for a cozy, dry place to spend a weekend at camp. It can also be used concurrently with Oak Lodge to separate large groups of boys and girls. Pine is a 15-20 minute walk from Oak and Main Camp.

Oak Lodge: Highroad’s largest lodge sleeps 48 people. It’s thirteen bedrooms accommodate three to eight people each. Most rooms have a sink and mirror. Oak’s large central meeting area contains a fireplace, couches, chairs and tables. The meeting area also doubles as a dining area. The lodge contains a boys' bathroom and a girls' bathroom, with three showers in each. A large field outside provides a beautiful view, stargazing site, game field, fire circle and vollyball net. Oak Lodge is Highroad's premier lodge for retreats, conferences, and reunions. The smaller, more individual rooms allow privacy, while the large meeting area helps facilitate fellowship and planning.

Willow Lodge: Highroad's smallest lodge sleeps up to 20 people. Its three bedrooms accommodate four to eight people each. Willow contains two bathrooms with showers. It also includes a kitchen with all of the amenities, a TV with a DVD player, a couch, a table, chairs, central heating, and air conditioning. Willow is the ideal lodge for small-group retreats, and is a favorite for church retreats. Its snug quarters and shared kitchen encourage groups that stay there to act as a unit.

Dining Hall: Students and campers staying in the cabins will eat in the Dining Hall. Our caterers serve great food, family-style. Cabin groups dine together, giving them the opportunity to get to know each other. Don't expect normal "camp food" at Highroad, our caterer caters weddings and special events when they're not serving guests here!
The Dining Hall is available as additional rainy-day activity space for schools and other groups.

Poplar Lodge: Poplar Lodge, located in the middle of Main Camp, is a two level facility great for holding activities in the event of rain. Poplar contains chairs, tables, and two fireplaces. Its fireplaces have saved many rainy camping trips from S'moreless disaster!

Clinic: The Clinic contains four bedrooms, and sleeps eight adults. It is equipped with a refrigerator, lockable cabinets and two bathrooms with showers. If using the Clinic as a clinic, groups must provide their own "nurse" and supplies. The Clinic makes a wonderful spot for holding supplies and chaperones, and also allows sick and homesick campers a place to rest under the watchful eyes of their group leaders.

Fox Den: This leaders’ cabin is popular spot for our teachers and/or parents. It contains three bedrooms, with two beds each. It also contains a fireplace, a bathroom with a sink, a flushing toilet, and shower. Its central location, as well as its complete exclusion from any camp activities other than lodging, make it a great spot for group leaders to keep an eye on the happenings at camp, and to retreat from the busyness of camp activities if they need an opportunity to do so!
