Camp Highroad - Virginia Christian Adventure Camp

 

Our Needs

 
 

Camp Highroad is a non-profit, extension ministry of the United Methodist Church. It is our goal to serve as many people as possible, with low prices and excellent Christian hospitality.

Camp Highroad is growing and thriving. We, the staff, consider ourselves very blessed to be a part of that growth and the success of Camp Highroad in the various areas in which it serves. We do, however, still desperately need the assistance of people willing to come alongside of us and partner with us to accomplish the mission of the camp.  We realize, of course, that there are many charities in our area, and all are doing their best to serve the community. Our niche is the provision of a safe, caring environment and a Christian witness to over 10,000 people a year, while teaching them about nature in God’s natural classroom.

There two ways in which you can help Highroad! First, if you want to adopt a project to fund and complete with a group, there is a list of projects below. Second, if you would rather fund a specific project or give to the Highroad general fund, there is a donation form below.

Adopt a Project – Ideal for Men's Groups, Eagle Scout Projects, etc.

-Construct Shed at the Challenge Course
-Construct Pavilion by the New High-Ropes Challenge Course
-Build Pavilion in the Low-Ropes Challenge Course
-Build Bunk Beds in Pine Lodge
-Construct Composting Toilets in the Challenge Course
-Clear the Brush at Locust Grove
-Build a Gazebo by the Pond
-Build a Front Deck at Willow Lodge
-Design and Build an Interpretive Trail
-Design and Build a Frisby Golf Course

Fund a Project or Sponsor a Camper


-Sponsor a Camper for Summer Camp – $385.00
-High Ropes Challenge: "Flying Squirrel" – $2,600
-High Ropes Challenge: 800' Zip Wire – $4,500
-Gutters and Fascia Board for Willow Lodge – $6,000
-High Ropes Challenge: "Giant Swing" – $7,300
