CAMP HIGHROAD MISSIONS |
Camp Highroad was built by loving hands who cared for kids. This tradition lives on through the efforts of many different volunteers and church groups that come here. On these pages you will see the efforts that are going in to making Camp Highroad a safe and caring place for people to come and experience God’s love in the surroundings of his creation.
ARCOLA UMC WOMEN PAINT AND PLANT, April 30th-May 2nd, 2004
15 Women from Arcola United Methodist Church came to Camp Highroad the weekend of April 30- May 2 and contributed significantly towards preparing the camp for the summer and adding to its beauty.
St. Mark UMC, April 7th-9th, 2004
St. Mark brought out approximately 15 people for 3 days of work here at Camp. They were able to reside one complete cabin and almost completed a second one. They also continued the repainting project on the interior and exterior of the Summer Camp Bath House.
Centerville UMC, March 27th, 2004
Approximately 20 people from Centerville came out and spent the day building a picnic shelter for our Wrangler Campers/Locust Grove Camping Area. Also, they continued the renovation work on Ballinger House.
Gainesville UMC, March 27th, 2004
Gainesville brought out about 40 people who resided a cabin, painted the interior and exterior of the Summer Camp Bath House, and painted and reorganized our Summer Camp Program Office (The Bee Hive).
