Esther Maynard

Esther was first compelled to work at Highroad in 2017 after attending an event at our high ropes course that involved free cupcakes… and the rest is history! Now the head and administrator of our operations department, Esther spends most of her time at camp managing all the moving pieces to schedule and provide for incoming groups. As the overseer of maintenance, hospitality, catering, and programs, she can often be found poring over a gigantic color-coded planner to make the puzzle fit together. She claims it's a fun challenge! Her favorite days at camp, though, are spent playing with critters in the creek and helping kids catch crawdads.

When she isn’t out in the woods, you can find Esther behind the lens of her camera, between the pages of books about dead people (she’s a history buff, people!), or with a pen in hand crafting her own novels.
