About Our Summer Camp
At Camp Highroad, we strive to create a place apart… where campers can experience Christian community and come to know the love of Christ in the midst of His Creation. For a week, our campers engage in outdoor adventure at its finest – from zip lining and rock-climbing to horseback riding and archery. Campers build strong bonds with their peers through classic camp games, daily devotionals, and chatting in their bunks at night! We are passionate about sharing the gospel and giving each of our campers an unforgettable experience.
Whether you are hoping to send your littles ones to camp for the first time, or you’ve been a long-time member of the Highroad family, we’re so glad you’re here! We can’t wait for your campers to experience fellowship, fun, and spiritual growth at camp.
First time Campers
Choosing your child’s first summer camp experience can feel overwhelming – will they be homesick? Will they enjoy the food? Can I contact my child…or vice versa? We at Highroad understand the questions that can come with sending your child to their first sleep away camp, so we have compiled the following information to answer some of the most common first-time questions.
Cell Phone Policy
With more and more youth having cell phones, we have realized the need to clarify Camp Highroad’s policy regarding campers having cell phones at camp. We recognize this is a tough issue! Camp Highroad has decided to continue our no cell phone policy for campers for several reasons, you can find those here.
The Camp Store is a fun part of the summer camp experience and a great way to support Highroad. Typically $15-$30 is enough for camp store purchases during a week of camp.
You will add money to your child’s account in April prior to camp or during check-in; we then deduct any items purchased from their account each day. If your child has $5 or more remaining in his or her camp store account at the end of the session, we will refund it to you during check-out.
(Amounts less than $5 will be donated to our scholarship fund but can be retrieved during check-out upon request)
Each camper visits the camp store once per day, Monday through Thursday. The camp store is also open during check-in and check-out for credit card or cash purchases.
