Camp Highroad’s Horse Program is a great place to learn the basics of horseback riding. During the session, staff will provide safety information and teach the basics of riding the horse in a riding ring. Once the basics are accomplished, riders will head out on a guided trail ride around the camp property. In the last portion of the session, if time permits, riders will possibly learn some additional riding skills back in the riding ring.
All riders will ride ‘Western’ style, and all safety equipment will be provided. All we need from the riders is for them to wear long pants and closed toed shoes with a minimum half-inch heel, and come with a smile on their face ready for a great time!!
